# Panelist

> Panelist is a free daily logic puzzle played in the browser at https://playpanelist.com. Every day everyone gets the same house: eight unlabeled breakers and twelve rooms and appliances. Players switch off a few breakers at a time, see which rooms go dark, and work out which breaker feeds each one, in six turns or fewer. Fewest turns wins.

## How it works

- A new house goes live every night at midnight Eastern time (America/New_York). Monday and Tuesday are Easy (up to four breakers off per flip, par 4), Wednesday and Thursday are Medium (up to three, par 5), and Friday through Sunday are Hard (up to three, par 5, and a wrong call no longer says how many rooms were right).
- A turn is a flip or a call. A flip switches off a set of breakers and shows which rooms and appliances went dark. A call sets a breaker on every room; a right call ends the day and counts as a turn, and a wrong one costs a turn. The last turn has to be a call.
- Every panel is generated from the date and checked to be solvable within par before it goes live. The answer stays on the server, which judges every flip and call.
- After finishing, players see their score (for example 4/6, or X/6 if they ran out of turns), their rank, how the whole field did, and how the house is wired.
- Share cards show one row per flip across the eight breakers (off or on) and a mark for each call, never the wiring. Each card carries a challenge link (https://playpanelist.com/?beat=4) that shows the score to beat.
- Anyone can play without an account. A free account adds the daily leaderboard, streaks, and career stats.
