This policy explains what information Panelist ("we") collects when you use playpanelist.com and what we do with it.

What we collect

Without an account: your plays are saved against your browser session. We keep basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the service running.

With an account: your name, email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and timezone, plus your plays, scores, and streaks. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID. We don't receive your Google password.

When you contact us: your name, your email, and your message.

How we use it

We use this information to run the game, show leaderboards, send account emails (verification, password reset, and notifications you've turned on), prevent abuse, and improve Panelist. We don't sell your personal information.

What other players see

Leaderboards show your username (or your first name and last initial), along with your score. Shared cards show your score and which breakers you flipped, never how the house is wired.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.

Service providers

We use a few service providers to run Panelist, including our web host, an email delivery provider, Cloudflare, and (for some features) OpenAI. They process data only on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data until you delete your account. To delete your account and its data, contact us.

Children

Panelist isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above. If the change affects your account, we'll also email you.
